I built Pawgress after watching real dog trainers struggle with clunky software that just wasn't made for them. Their pain was obvious: trainers should be focused on training, not wasting time on endless emails.
My mission became simple: create software that feels like it was actually made for dog trainers. Not repurposed salon software, not generic business tools, but something that understands the daily reality of working with dogs and their humans.
We keep improving Pawgress based on what trainers tell us they need. I personally measure our success by how many hours we give back to trainers each week; hours they can spend doing the work they love or just living their lives.

Our Story
Pawgress started in Vancouver when I adopted my Samoyed, Mochi. As a software engineer by day and new dog parent by night, I quickly found myself deep in the world of dog training. During Mochi's training journey, I noticed something: the trainers helping me were spending nearly as much time handling emails and administrative tasks as they were actually working with dogs.
One evening after a particularly effective training session, my trainer vented about the hours spent on scheduling and client emails. That's when it clicked. I could use my software skills to solve this problem. I started sketching ideas that night and soon I was meeting trainers at local Vancouver coffee shops to understand their needs better. That's how Pawgress took shape!
We're proud of our Canadian roots and the support we've received from Vancouver's tech community. What started as a local solution has grown to help trainers across North America. Through it all, we've stayed true to our original mission: creating simple, intuitive tools that let trainers spend less time on admin work and more time doing what they love; helping dogs and their humans live better together.
